Celebrating A History of Shared Business and A Future of Shared Success
HTFN 22nd Worldwide Conference

With over a 100 members in attendance representing 50 countries worldwide, members of HTFN gathered recently in Bangkok, Thailand for the international freight forwarding organization's 22nd Worldwide Conference. This year’s conference brought members together to celebrate their successes and encourage them to work together to further guide the future of HTFN.

Hosted by Thailand’s local HTFN member, East West Air Services Company, Ltd., the conference opened September 9th 2006, with a welcome dinner that unveiled the week’s theme: “A History of Sharing Business, a Future of Shared Success.” HTFN Chairperson of the Board, Angela Flynn, welcomed conference attendees, thanked East West Air Services for hosting this year’s conference, and introduced the weeks various speakers who set the stage for the week’s conference with presentations that highlighted HTFN’s roots and how sharing business internally would take the network into a future of success.”

The purpose of the annual conference is to update members on trends and changes in the international freight forwarding industry, as well as to provide business development networking opportunities for members. This years conference also set the stage for members to discuss bringing their business back to the basics and encouraged them to look into the future on how each and every member can work together to make HTFN the strongest network in the industry.

The week ended with an elegant awards dinner including local entertainment. The following companies were recognized for their achievements over the past year by being presented with the below awards:

Member of the Year: All Freight Logistics

HTFN Award of Special Recognition: Angela Flynn, Express Transport By Air (Express Transport by Air tied with All Freight Logistics for member of the Year Award)

Spirit of the Network: DFX Transporte Internacional

Chairman’s Award: Freddy De Greef, All Freight Logistics

HTFN Award of Special Recognition: Colin Travis, Plane Cargo Inc.

“This conference brought our members together and showed how various companies throughout the world sit down and form strong business relationships and really work together for the common good of the network and their individual companies.
