Case study.
HTFN New Zealand - which has over 750 customers, opened a new dedicated 3PL warehouse in December 2003 within the Airport Oaks area, which is conveniently located within five minutes from Auckland International Airport.
The capacity of 150,000 sq foot facility was quickly reached due to its range of contract logistical services. Demand has continued to grow, so much so that construction has begun to extend the facility to 240,000 sq feet.
The facility is state of the art, offering the full suite of 3PL and 4PL services to NZ and multinational customers. Adjacent to this facility, HTFN New Zealand has purchased a further 12 acres for development within the next 12 months.
This will be used for the replacement air and sea freight terminals as existing facilities at other locations in Auckland that have reached capacity and for further contract logistics developments.
